How This
Podcast Journey
“Til death do us part,” is a common phrase recited during the traditional
wedding vows. At the time, death is a distant thought, until it disrupts your life without warning.
Single, divorced, and married women are provided platforms to share their
experiences. However, widows rarely share their stories. “Reproach of thy
widowhood” is an interesting term used in the bible, because reproach
means “shame, disgrace, or disappointment.” I did not fully grasp the meaning of that text until I became a widow. Embarrassment was a constant feeling because I could not understand how I ended up in this place. I avoided and
withdrew from friends and family. Disappointment was overwhelming
because the man I thought I would spend the rest of my life with was gone forever. I was stuck in life. But Isaiah prophesied hope and a promise of a glorious future to Israel. That promise is available to widows or anyone who suffers great loss. God can restore everything. He is our provider, protector, and sanctuary.
From A Widow’s Perspective is the story of an unexpected, amazing,
faith filled journey that was truly ordained by God. Although life does not goas expected, God is still in control and there is a life to live again.
